The basic test of package is complete blood count that includes determination of hemoglobin erythrocytes, platelet, haematocrite, leucocytes, and also calculation of erythrocyte index.

Besides estimation of anemia (decline of hemoglobin concentration or amount erythrocytes in unit of blood), these indexes give diagnostically important information about the erythrocyte size, its hemoglobin saturation, homogeneity of the erythrocyte population, that is help to define macro, micro or normocyte types of anemia, to expose hypo, normo or hyperchromia, to estimate the anisocytosis degree (heterogeneity of volume).
