The treatment with medicinal leeches (hirudotherapy in Latin or bdellotherapy in Greece) is one of the most ancient methods in medicine.

Medicinal leech is grown up on special biological forms and is absolutely “sterile” in the use.

It is just leech secretion that has a therapeutic effect. Leech secretion is a full periodic table as for its contents of biologically active substances, which (when used appropriately) render powerful effects on every system of the body and, in contrast to remedies from a pharmacy, have no side effects.

In the process of therapy, all the biologically active substances enter blood and render favorable effects – surprising in strength – on our organs, systems and the way we feel.

Who is in need of hirudotherapy?

First of all, hirudotherapy is necessary for those predisposed to the development of congestive phenomena, which are provoked by lower mobility, stresses, weak abdominal press and diaphragm, diet enriched with sugar, refined and farinaceous food, bread, potato, coloring agents and aromatizers.

At our Clinic, a course of hirudotherapy is selected individually for each patient in dependence on degree and nature of his or her disease. When necessary, the course is repeated once more within a year to consolidate the results obtained.
