Vaccination for pappilomovirus

In Europe one woman dies of uterus neck cancer each 18 minutes. The reason of occurrence of uterus  neck cancer is oncogenetic type of a human – human virus papilloma (HVP).

Not so long ago it is revealed that almost everybody is a  carrier of pappilomovirus , but not everyone realize it. The most part of carriers has normal immunity which suppresses activity of a virus and it in any way does not show itself.

Oncogenic  types 16 and 18 cause 71,5 % of all cases of  uterus  neck cancer in Europe. For types HVP 16 and 18 risk of progressive development of precancer considerably higher (approximately on 40 %) than for other types of this virus.

HVP infection causing occurrence of uterus  neck  cancer can strike a women during all her life.

HVP infection is widespread. The risk of infection increased from the moment of the first sexual act. Transferred earlier HVP infection does not cause occurrence of  immunity capable to prevent next inflammation. Hence, while women live a sexual life  they are exposed to risk of infection.

 Now new researches in the field of preventive maintenance of the infection caused oncogenic types HVP are carried out.

It is expected that it will lead to decrease in quantity of the pathology and in a combination with screening will cause the further decrease in frequency of occurrence of uterus neck cancer.
